A deficiency in Vitamin C occurs when the body does not receive the required amount through food and lacks sufficient reserves of this vitamin. Additionally, air pollution, smoking, fighting certain diseases and infections, and type 2 diabetes increase the body’s need for this vitamin.

Side effects:

Side effects such as stomach irritation, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, headache, hot flashes, and flank pain may rarely occur. High doses of Vitamin C can lead to hyperoxaluria (increased oxalate excretion in urine), which may increase the risk of forming oxalate stones.

Drug interactions:

Vitamin C may interfere with estrogen derivatives and aluminum hydroxide.

Warnings and precautions:

In cases of kidney failure, continuous use of aluminum-containing medications such as aluminum hydroxide, a history of oxalate stones, hemochromatosis, and favism should be used with caution and under the guidance of a doctor.

Contraindications:

If you have oxalate kidney failure, avoid using this product.
